music what can be bought.

I'm live! Now all music under the newly founded "Jalyper Studios" label can be purchased directly from here, facebook, or my website. What a miraculous time we live in...

New Song!

This is my first attempt at recording live singing. I'm pretty
happy with the way it turned out and I think Brooklyn did a great job!

a post on behalf of the third occupant of Salem House.

A shout out to the family members who don't get to enjoy Spiche's meanderings on a regular basis.

I apologize for the poor quality.

The Other Side, an online production.

The Other Side, the movie what I scored, is now online for your viewing pleasure. It's about 26 minutes long. The premiere at BYU had a bigger turnout than I thought. Maybe 70 people or so. They all really supported the cast and crew of the film and I thought it was neat how much recognition the film got, made with no budget to speak of, using only people's free hours to produce. I think it ultimately took about a year. I also didn't know I was being paid for it, so it accidentally represents my first paying job as a film composer! I watch it now, and I already hear things I wish I did differently. And that's kind of a good sign to me, because I remember as I was writing it how much I loved it. Now, not so much. Nonetheless, it was sure fun.

Read Me.

Hello everyone. It's sure been awhile. It appears as though just a few of us (myself not deservedly included) are left in the blogging scene. I'm going to try and keep up better though. I have recently celebrated the completion of a new film score, The Other Side, of which I'm sure most of you are aware. However, NOW there's a trailer that you can watch! You can find it on my website or by clicking here. If you clicked "here", then HA! You've been tricked into going to my website anyway. That's okay though, because there are a few more songs I've written and posted for your listening pleasure. But I've been having some trouble with the widget that plays them lately, so if you experience problems that's why. Anyway, the premiere for the movie is this weekend and I'm pretty excited. It's going to be in a bona fide theater at BYU. It has been the most fun I've had with music so far and I'm excited to keep doing it.

I think that's all for now. Video links trump long blog posts anyway. I guess there's also the fact I have nothing left to say. Except that I'm still looking for a job, but who cares?

A Bunny New Website

So I was digging through old pictures on my phone, and I found a picture from almost a year ago which was the result of one of Gregan's blog posts which ended with a link to a game in which you're a bunny and hop on lots of bells. I forgot how obsessed I was with it until I stumbled across this picture, which features my high score. And I completely forgot to brag about it!

That's right... over 124 TRILLION.

Also, I've re-beautified my website. It now features a fully functional navigation bar, although it still looks rather plain and choppy. I hope you enjoy it irregardless.

Alright, already.

Well, normally I follow Jaron on blog posts, but he is waiting on an internet connection to be set up in his apartment, apparently. Either that or he's lying and doesn't dare. So I figured I'd just go ahead and go, since it's been months for me as well. I kind of wanted to wait for some more development in my life to happen first, but what the hay. Lately I've been working on a short film. The longest short film I've ever been involved in, actually. It's about 30 minutes long and it will be finished pretty soon. Micah was contacted by this film student at BYU, but didn't have time to score his film, so he recommended me. Which was really great of him. So he contacted me and he is pleased so far with what I've come up with.

Also, about two months ago, I bought www.keaton-anderson.com. I wanted to wait until I came up with a design that I actually liked before making it live... (see lame design below) or at least before telling people about it, but I really don't know when I'll ever have it completely done. For instance, it has only had a home page since I built it two months ago. So you can go ahead and look at it by clicking here if you want. And you want. I guess the idea was to have a place to load my music to show to interested filmmakers. It's still a work in progress that will probably be that way for years to come, but there you have it.
